This December the Conde Nast Traveller Middle East Readers’ Choice Awards were shortlisted. An evening out at Viceroy Yas Island, Abu Dhabi was the moment to collect awards for those who won.
Lawrence attended and walked away with Readers’ Choice Award for Favourite Roadtrip Destination for Canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
The beautiful region north of Lake Geneva, cornered by the Lavaux vineyards Unesco site and nestled in between the Swiss Alps and the Jura mountains, is the epitome of roadtrip extravaganza. Think of a region known for its dense gastronomy, windy roads in the mountains, mesmerizing views from picturesque villages, history along the lake in the shape of Belle Epoque palace hotels and the Chillon Castle – with contenders such as Italy and California, the captivating region won the readers votes and we sure think, their hearts.
